Coils & Pods

Coils and pods are essential components in the vaping industry, playing a crucial role in the overall experience of vapor production and flavor delivery. Understanding their functions and variations can significantly enhance the vaping experience for both novice and experienced users.

Coils are the heating elements found in most vaping devices. They are typically made from materials such as Kanthal, stainless steel, or nickel, and are designed to heat e-liquid to a temperature that produces vapor. The resistance of a coil, measured in ohms, affects the amount of power required to heat the coil and the resulting vapor production. For instance, lower resistance coils (sub-ohm) generally produce larger vapor clouds and are favored by cloud chasers, while higher resistance coils are often used for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, which mimics the draw of traditional cigarettes.

Coils come in various configurations, including single, dual, and even triple coil setups. Dual coils can increase vapor production and flavor intensity, while single coils are often more efficient and provide longer battery life. Additionally, the choice of coil material can influence the vaping experience; for example, stainless steel coils can be used in temperature control mode, allowing for a more precise vaping experience.
